Sleepin' in the Swing

Aislynn's latest thing is burying her head in a blanket to sleep. She's so cute! :)

She's on the Move!

A. is very close to rolling from her back to her side. She gets right there, but can't seem to tip herself over quite yet. However, S. put her on her tummy last night and she was able to roll back over onto her back. I got the camera out for the second time that she did it. She's just so advanced! hehe

Just Because

Just thought I'd put a few random pictures on for those of you that are far away. :( She changes so much every day!

Time to begin baby-proofing!

I was getting dinner ready tonight and had left A. in the living room as I do very often if I have something to get done. I came back in and she was too close to the stairs for my comfort. The small amount of blanket that is in the right of the picture is the blanket that I put her on a couple of minutes before this picture. I immediately went downstairs and got the baby gate. She's definitely movin'. I turned the video camera on later in the night and she is so close to rolling, but just couldn't get there tonight! This is just the beginning of the mobility fun! Let the baby proofing begin!

This is my first time posting a video, hope it works! This is her new "talking" she started while we were in Louisiana. She's not crying, just talkin'.

New Chair

A. has been able to support herself really well, so I thought now would be a good time to introduce her to the B.e.b.e' P.o.d. She loves it! I put her in it the other day for the first time, but didn't get pictures....I was afraid she would to a face-plant right into the toy! She started out just kinda smacking the toy on accident and then S. put her hand on it and made her spin it...now she looks like she's doing it on purpose. (It's amazing what kids can learn if you just take two seconds to teach them!) Check out those cheeks!!

Home Again, Again!

A. and I made it home from N.e.w O.r.l.e.a.n.s the other day. We had a great time. S.'s mom even came into town. It was so nice to spend time with the family and the wedding was beautiful. A. doesn't know what to do with herself with all the quiet now. I'm pretty sure she'll be able to sleep through anything now! I was telling my sister-in-law how I would turn on the radio while she naps and vacuum so she will learn to sleep, that way when people come over, I don't have to "ssshhhh" them. :) She ended up sleeping through, for the most part, a Louisiana wedding reception....those of you from anywhere other than LA....the receptions down there are loud and last until all hours of the night! Now she really will sleep through anything!

I didn't end up getting as many pictures as I would have liked. I'm going to have to gather a few that were taken with others' cameras. When I wanted to take a picture of the family, I couldn't find my camera and when it came back to me...the baby was knocked out. And of course, when they wanted to take the big family picture for the wedding album....I was nursing the baby! So the big black wrap wasn't part of the outfit!
Here are a few of the pictures that I've gotten my hands on for now. There should be more from the trip soon.

Grandma with all of her grandkiddos.

A. hangin' out with her uncle Trevor.

She's going to kill me, but I thought it was too precious to resist!

You can really tell that they are related.

Auntie Nat kept trying to get her to smile, but she just wasn't up for it, I guess.

Baby Update

Just before what mom thought was her appointment, we were just a day early!

Just before the appointment on the correct day! :)

I took A. to the doctor on Tuesday for her 2 month check-up. She said everything is great. She had to get two shots. I only wanted 2 shots in her little system at a time, so I'm going to have to take her back next week for one more shot. I opted out of the kennel cough shot or whatever they give them for going to daycare....why would she need it?!

Our little beauty weighs in at a whopping 13 pounds 3 ounces and a total of 24.5 inches long! She's gonna be a volleyball player! She's doing great and starting to talk to us a lot. It's so fun to watch her get all worked up and squirm and flop around to make one little squeak. She's started to vocalize a ton and we're loving it! We bought a ticket yesterday to go to N.e.w O.r.l.e.a.n.s to see Sean's family and be there for Courtney and Joe's wedding. We are so excited! Exited for a wedding and for A. to get to meet the whole gang. See you guys in a few days!

Lil red dress

Not sure what the look on her face is all about.
Ms. Kathy sends a pair of shoes with just about every outfit...I love it! :)
I LOVE having a little girl. They are so much fun and fun to dress up too! :) This is the little red dress she wore to church yesterday.

We went to the doctor today on time for Aislynn's appointment. Too bad I was 24 HOURS early! Oops! I guess I'll have to come back tomorrow.

Life without cable

She's got him wrapped around her little finger!

Just thought I'd put a couple more pictures on here today. What can I say, the cable is gone! I don't know if any one else out there has taken the leap or was just smart and didn't get cable in the first place, but the evenings are hard! S. and I turned off the cable just before A. arrived. With the family here it wasn't bad at all. Now that they are gone, we are going crazy! It's much better during the day because our house is actually clean now. :) But when S. comes home at night there's nothing to do. I'm sure we should do something crazy like talk to one another or just hang out as a family, but if anyone has any ideas as to what we can do together, I'm open to suggestions!
